An large Irish early 19th century circular tilt-top dining table, the circular well figured top with moulded edge on fluted and lotus leaf carved column, standing on a three-way concave platform base with large carved lion paw feet with concealed castors.

Mack, Williams and Gibton of Dublin
The firm of Mack, Williams and Gibton was formed around 1812, but its history can be traced back to 1784 when John Mack established a cabinet making business in Abbey Street, Dublin, in 1801 he was joined by another cabinet-maker Robert Gibton, by 1805 the partnership had been formalized and the business was flourishing. In 1806 the firm received the appointment of 'Upholsterers & Cabinet Makers to His Majesty, his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant, and.. his majesty's Board of Works.
William Gibton succeeded his father Robert after his death in 1812, while simultaneously Zachariah Williams (brother- in -law) Joined the business, thus creating the new partnership of Mack, Williams and Gibton, under this name the firm enjoyed unparalleled success, retaining their Royal Warrant for many years. They supplied and restored furniture for some of the most prestigious country houses and public buildings on Ireland, including, Ballynegall, Oakley Park, Dublin castle and the Chapel Royal. The firm ceased trading in 1852.
